The Hastings Area Rotary Club Board of Directors

I joined the Hastings Rotary because of the LOCAL activities they do.  Service Above Self is a key phase used within the organization, and this club does so much locally and contribute internationally.  This group (club) is amazing in their dedication the Hastings area and it shows through their actions.  I am past and now again current President of the club and dedicating my term to Rotary's 4-Way Test.  1.  Is it the truth?  2.  Is if fair to all concerned? 3.  Will it build good will and better friendships?  4.  Will it be beneficial to all concerned?  We use these questions to help to make the best possible decisions for our club moving forward.

The President Elect is chosen early to shadow the current President and have time for attending required Rotary International trainings. The position is currently open.

I joined Rotary when we moved to town in 2006. I believe in the high ethical standards personally and professionally. Being secretary allows me to be a helper with new members and encourage thoughtful guest speakers throughout the year.

I am a reporter for the Hastings Journal and a huge fan of technology. My experience behind the camera and years of designing websites and a love of volunteering led me to the webmaster / technology coordinator position within the Hastings Area Rotary Club.

I work for 360 Communities as the Supervisor at Lewis House, where I support survivors and families and work every day to strengthen our community. I joined Rotary in 2016 and have served on the Hastings Area Rotary board as a Member at Large for nearly my entire time in the club. Rotary has given me a meaningful way to connect my passion for helping others with action that creates real, local impact.

I grew up in Hastings and am now raising my family here, which makes giving back especially important to me. I strongly believe in Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self and strive to embody that value both personally and professionally. Being a helper comes naturally to me, and Rotary allows me to serve alongside others who are committed to making Hastings a stronger, more compassionate place to live.
