“Ole” was added to our fleet of trikes in 2022 and was named in honor of Ole Kassow, founder of Cycling Without Age. Ole had the simple idea of connecting with senior citizens by providing the opportunity for a bike ride, engaging in conversation, and feeling “wind in your hair.”

In 2012 he began CWA with single trike and the program has now spread to more than 50 countries and nearly 3000 cities.

In February 2020, the Hastings Rotary Club hosted Ole Kassow and Pernille Bussone during their visit to United States. Ole shared his amazing and inspirational story with club members.

In March of 2020, the Rotary Club received its first two trikes and began serving senior citizens with rides on the trails around Hastings.
