Who we are – The Hastings Area Rotary Club is an affiliate of Cycling Without Age; an international nonprofit organization based in Denmark.

Hastings Cycling Without Age promotes the dream of providing elderly or disabled citizens the opportunity to experience our city and trails from the seat of a tricycle; sharing their stories and feeling the wind in their hair. 

It is our vision to build bridges between generations and reinforce trust, respect and social connections in our community.

This is a free service; there is no fee to become a Pilot or to Request A Ride.

Our Story…

-August 2019 - The Hastings Rotary became an affiliate of CWA.

-October 2019 – Power of 100 Women in Hastings awarded Hastings CWA on behalf of Hastings Rotary, $13,000 for the purchase of its first Trishaw

-Currently the Hastings CWA has received generous donations expanding our fleet of Trishaws to SIX bikes!  Please view Our Bikes to read the history of each bike.

-Hastings CWA has approximately 75 trained Pilots

-During the 2022 season, CWA volunteers piloted 225 rides to approximately 450 passengers

Does this program cost to get a ride – NO.  CWA offers rides to our elderly or disabled citizens in our community at no cost.

What, Where, When does CWA offer rides – anytime/anywhere as long as we can Pilot the Tri-Shaw to the location.  We mainly ride the beautiful trails of Hastings, take a ride along the river, tour our beautiful downtown or stop and enjoy an ice cream cone.  The ride is for YOU.  You determine where you want to go and how long.

Feel the Wind In Your Hair!

Enjoy a concert downtown Hastings at our Pavilion, experience the car show from the front of a bike, take a ride to the local Farmer’s Market, or request a ride to church or just to visit a friend.  Our Pilot’s are ready to take you for a ride of your choosing!
